$12 for sunscreen, $3 for a bottle of water and $32.80 for lunch: Bondi Beach named the most expensive place for a day out in Australia

Bondi Beach as been named the most expensive seaside location in Australia and 50th in the world, according to how much holidaymakers spend on essential items.
The famous Sydney destination was found to be the worst offender in the country for a 'free' day out, costing beach-goers an average of $58.95 per person - calculated by the price of sunscreen, a bottle of water, ice cream, beer and lunch.
But a day at Bondi won't cost as much as a visit to Kristiansand Beach in Norway or Copacabana in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, online travel specialist TravelBird’s annual Beach Price Index has revealed.

Three Norwegion beaches topped the list as the most costly in the world - with a typical day at Kristiansand Beach valued at $86.38, Huk Beach at $82.78 and Solastranda at $80.64.
Ten other Australian beaches were named in the index, which comprises 310 seaside destinations around the world, including Whithaven Beach on Whitsunday Island, Manly Beach on Sydney's Northern Beaches and Cottesloe Beach in Perth.
A day at the shores in Australia appears to cost tourists between $54 and $58 per person, with little disparity across the country.
An average day at Bondi will cost punters $12 for sunscreen, $3 for a bottle of water, $7 for a beer, $3.80 for ice cream and $32.80 for lunch at a nearby cafe.
But a trip to Whithaven Beach will only save tourists 47 cents more than a swim at Bondi - costing $58.48 for the bundle of essential items.
And true to its reputation as the new Bali, Vietnam has been touted as the world's most affordable beach destination.
Down the list as the top three cheapest beachside locations are Long Beach in Phu Quoc, Vietnam at $19.27 for a day out, City Beach in Nha Trang, Vietnam at $18.59 and Cua Dai Beach in Hoi An for $17.61.
Other budget beach destinations around the world can be found in Egypt, India, Croatia and Germany.
