Never do these 5 things first when you wake up in the morning

Sometimes it is a challenge to roll out of bed and face the world. For some of us "Monday morning blues" extend to the rest of the days of the week. According to sleep specialists, snooze alarm is not helping either because when you go back to sleep after hitting the snooze button, you enter a sleep cycle that you may not be able to complete. Some of us get cranky and snappy in the morning. There are many morning habits we are accustomed to but are not healthy for us. Here is a list of things you should not do immediately after waking up in the morning.
1. Drink coffee

If the first thing you want to do right after you wake is to grab a cup of coffee, then you need to stop. You may think that you need coffee in the morning but the truth is you do not need coffee. According to a research conducted by the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Maryland, USA, coffee is not required until half an hour after you start working.
Between 8 am and 9 am, your body produces stress hormone cortisol, which also regulate energy, in large quantity. So, you do not need to drink coffee during that period. If you drink coffee before 9:30, your body may start producing less cortisol. This will lead to other health issues. So, the best time to drink coffee is after 9:30 am. Do not drink it as soon as you wake up in the morning.
2. Take a hot shower
Using hot water for bath or taking a hot shower will leave you less energetic and not feeling fresh as it will lower your heart rate. Hot shower is a bit too relaxing. You can opt for a cold-ish shower, this will make you more productive during the day and get you into the action.
3. Have only carbs for breakfast

Your morning breakfast should include carbohydrate as well as proteins. It should not contain just carbs. Eating muffins and white-bread toast will give a little energy as it provides little-to no nutritional benefit. Try to eat oats, eggs or protein-dense cereal with milk for breakfast.
4. Start eating as soon as you wake up
You body needs to acclimatize to a new day. So, do not start eating right after you wake up. Eat a light meal for breakfast, which should include carbohydrates as well as proteins. You can have your favorite food later in the day.
5. Think about pending work
Thinking
In the morning, you should think something positive, so do not think about unpleasant things. You have the whole day to complete the pending work and overcome other issues. Thinking about positive things in the morning is good for mental health.
