Ramzan Special: Try This Buttermilk Fried Chicken Recipe


  • Today is Ramzan, so many people will do fast and worship God. So after the all day upvas. They complete their fast with food which is known as 'Iftar'. So today we bring this delicious recipe for on the beautiful occassion of Ramzan.
    This fried chicken have some different taste from others. It is marinated in buttermilk and coated in a maida or all purpose flour. You can make at your home easily.
    To prepare this recipe you have to marinate chicken a before 1 to 2 hours or a night before. So check out the recipe and enjoy.
    Chicken - 1 kg
    Oil for Deep frying
    Buttermilk - 2 cups
    Ginger Garlic paste - 2 tbsp
    Salt to taste
    Pepper Powder to taste
    Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
    All Purpose Flour / Maida - 2 cups
    Salt to taste
    Chilli powder - 2 tsp
  • First assemble all the ingredients and be ready to marinate chicken. Take a bowl and add 1 kg chopped chicken pieces.
  • Now add 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste, 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder, Pepper powder, salt and mix everything properly. Add pepper powder and salt as per your taste.
  • Now add 2 cups Buttermilk in the chicken and keep it aside for marinating.
  • While the chicken is marinating take a bowl and add 2 cups Maida or All Purpose Flour and add 2 tsp red chili powder, salt and mix it well. Add salt as per your taste.
  • Now take the marinated chicken and drendge them in the flour mix and coat it with flour properly.
  • Arrange all the coated chicken in a rack and place it sit for a while so that the coating sticks to the chicken.
  • Take a pan and heat oil and put a chicken pieces in it and fry it properly. Fry the coated chicken till it turn into golden brown.
  • Now your dish is ready so serve it with tomato ketchup or chutney or pickle as you like and enjoy with friends and family.
