Natural homemade hair rinses for silky and shiny hair

Hair rinses are the simplest way to give your hair a boost of nourishment. Water infused with natural ingredients hydrates the hair, thus controlling frizz and taming flyaways while making the hair soft and shiny. Here are some simple DIY natural hair rinse ideas that you can make at home.
Tea rinseTea is rich in antioxidants and soothes the scalp while adding a bounce and shine to the hair. You can choose either green or black unflavoured tea. Steep a few tea bags in half a litre of hot water. Boil until it remains half in quantity. Mix equal part water and use this as the final rinse after washing the hair.
Apple cider vinegar (ACV) rinseACV will help remove excess oil and product build-up from the scalp along with making it shiny. Prepare a hair rinse using equal parts of ACV and soft waterto make one mug) After the usual shampoo regimen, pour the ACV mix on the hair and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse with cold water while gently scrubbing the scalp.
Beer rinseUsing flat beer will give your hair volume and a natural sheen. Use a mug of flat beer to rinse your hair, letting it rest on the scalp for a while. Wash with cold water and let your hair dry naturally.
Coconut water rinseCoconut water is a light and refreshing hair rinse that will add moisture to the hair. Rich in vitamins and minerals, coconut water nourishes the hair making it strong and shiny. Take fresh coconut water and slowly pour to cover all of the hair. Let it stay for 15 minutes and wash off with water.
Honey rinseHoney hair rinse will not only make your hair soft and silky but will also hydrate the scalp. Mix half a cup of honey in one mug of water. Pour this mix slowly through your hair and massage onto the scalp using your fingers. Wash thoroughly after 10 minutes.
Fenugreek seeds rinseFenugreek or methi seeds have multiple hair benefits like fighting dandruff, preventing premature greying, promoting hair growth and enhancing shine. Soak one fourth cup of methi seeds in a mug of water overnight. Discard the seeds and use the water for rinsing hair.
