5 smartphones under 15k that are absolutely worth it

There's nothing more satisfying than acquiring a decent mid-range phone.

1) Moto G5 Plus

Moto G5 Plus is a catch for Rs 15,000. With a 5.2inch Full-HD display, a stripped-down stock Android 7.0 Nougat, and two variants (16GB and 32GB) with expandable memory (up to 256GB), Motorola's latest offering is a wonderful package. The model's cameras are decent - a 12MP rear camera with an aperture of f/1.7 and dual-pixel autofocus and a 5MP front camera. If you want to spend the money, this is your best bet.

2) Lenovo Z2 Plus

Though the phone was launched at Rs 17,999, thanks to competition and price cuts, the Lenovo Z2 Plus is now available at a thoroughly affordable Rs 14,999. It comes with the highly valued Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, and a powerful 3,500mAh battery. The smartphone features a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.

3) Xiaomi Redmi Note 4

The Redmi Note 4 comes from an illustrious range of smartphones that have revolutionised the industry, and captured the market with a gusto. With a Snapdragon 625 SoC, the Adreno 506 GPU, a 5.5inch 2.5D Full-HD display, a 4,100mAh battery, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage the smartphone is more than worth the Rs 12,999 it costs. On the camera front, the phone comes with a 13MP rear camera with phase detection auto focus and an aperture of f/2.0, and a 5MP front camera with a 85 degree wide-angle lens.

4) LeEco Le 2

While LeEco is not the most promising of brands, the Le 2 looks decent. With a metal body, an octa-core 1.8 GHz Snapdragon 652 processor, a 5.5inch Full-HD IPS display, 32GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM, the Le 2 is a steal for Rs 11,999. The LeEco Le 2 comes with a 16MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0 rear camera, a dual LED flash and a sensor size of 1/31" inches. On the front, there is a 8MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.2.
A downside to this purchase is, of course, its lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack. A move this controversial is something only Apple can survive, that too barely. Not sure if LeEco gets that.

5) Huawei Honor 6X

With a 5.5inch 1080p display, dual cameras on the back, a 3,340mAh battery, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, DTS audio support and powerful internals, Rs 12,999 is a small price to pay.
The distinguishing feature of the Huawei Honor 6X is the dual camera array at the back which comes with a 12MP primary lens and 2MP secondary sensor used for depth perception. The dual camera setup comes with an LED flash and phase detection autofocus.
