Lemon

Raw Potato

Cut a piece of potato and directly rub it on the dark spots or you can mash a potato, squeeze the juice out and apply it on the dark spots with the help of a cotton ball. This remedy can be used two to three times a day for a month to get noticeable results.
Apple Cider Vinegar
This is loaded with chemicals that remove dark spots. Rich in citric acid, glycolic acid, and lactic acid. These acids not only bleach the dark spots but also exfoliate the dead skin present on the surface. Sulfur is known to even out discolouration, and Apple cider vinegar is sulfur based. Apply directly on the dark spots, dab a cotton ball, dipped in apple cider vinegar, let it sit for 20 minutes, and wash it off with cold water. You can also try mixing it with lemon juice and follow the same procedure.
Sandalwood
This one is a proven remedy for many skin problems including hyperpigmentation. The antiseptic properties in sandalwood help treat pimples and acne and its astringent properties help tighten pores and also control oil secretion. The essential oils present in it lightens skin tone, helps in the regeneration of new cells, and exfoliates dead skin. Make a paste of sandalwood using rose water, apply it on the affected areas, let it rest for 30 minutes, and wash. Repeat this process every day until you get visible results.
Aloe Vera
The Anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties in Aloe vera that help treat skin infections. It hydrates the skin and removes excessive oil from the pores. It removes dead skin and helps in the regeneration of new skin cells, thus, reducing the appearance of dark spots. Take a fresh aloe vera leaf and scoop out the gel. Crush it and apply it to your skin and wash it off after 30 minutes. You can repeat this on a daily basis for clear, spotless skin.
Papaya
The papain enzyme in papaya helps exfoliates dead skin and fades dark spots. Mask the pulp of papaya, mix it with lemon juice, apply it on the skin, and wash it off after 30 minutes. You can witness visible results after following this process for two weeks.
Almond Oil
Rich in vitamins A, B, E and fatty acids. Almond oil contains fatty acids which help clean your pores and also helps get rid of acne and pimples. The vitamins moisturize the skin, clean and tighten pores, exfoliate dead skin, and help regenerate new skin. These effects on almond oil on your skin results in lightening of dark spots eventually. Massage almond oil onto your skin before bedtime and rinse off the next day morning. For visible results continue this process for about two weeks.
Besides following the aforementioned remedies it’s also required to be patient and to keep yourself hydrated if you want clear skin. Eat foods that are high in nutrients rather than calorie-dense, oily foods. Remember to apply sunscreen when you step out from home.
