We are sure you must have wondered several times about the significance of an ‘i’ in all the Apple Products. From iPhone to iMac to iPod, the ‘i’ has been irreplaceable. Well, the answer was revealed by the founder of Apple itself, Steve Jobs, in a keynote address given back in 1998 when introducing Apple’s first product the iMac.
He said, ““An iMac comes from the marriage of the excitement of the internet, with the simplicity of Macintosh.
Even though this is a full-blooded Macintosh,” he was quoted saying, “We have targeted this for the number one use consumers tell us they want a computer for, which is to get on the internet- simple and fast.”
He continued to say,” ‘i’ also means some other things to us; we’re a personal computer company this product is born to network, it is also a beautiful standalone product.” he concluded.
“I” stands for the “Internet, Individual. Instruct, Inform and Inspire.”
