Scary Places Around The World Which Even Makes The Daredevils Hesitate To Visit
The idea of a haunted place is nothing new to the world and there is not always concrete proof that such places are the hunting grounds of spirits and ghosts. However such environment possess are experienced only through the horror movies and people who have visited such places have felt the presence of spirits.
Here are the list of few haunted places, around the world, with histories of violent deaths and stories of souls who roam around.
Edinburgh Castle, Scotland

Edinburgh, Scotland's capital and second-largest city, is considered as one of the most haunted cities in Europe. Edinburgh's 12th century castle is thought to be haunted by dead souls.
In the castle, there are many underground cells where people were imprisoned and tortured so it's hardly surprising that there are ghosts in the castle. The most common experience is the sighting of spirits. It is heard that these have been seen by many people on several occasions.
Aokigahara Forest, Japan
Aokigahara, the suicide forest, is located at the northwest base of Mount Fuji in Japan. The very dense forest contains a large number of rocky ice caverns. It is most popular site for suicide in Japan, and among the top three popular sites for suicide in the world.
There were around 30 suicides reported every year during the period leading up to 1988. The rate of suicide has led officials to place a sign at the forest's entry urging suicidal visitors to seek help and not take their own lives.
Sedlec Ossuary
It is a small Roman Catholic Chapel located beneath the Cemetery Church of All Saints in the Czech Republic. The Ossuary is estimated to contain the skeletons of between 40,000 and 70,000 people whose bones have been artistically arranged to form decorations and furnishings of the chapel.
The ossuary is among the most horrifying and most visited tourist attractions of the Czech Republic-attracting over 200,000 visitors annually.
The Riddle House
One of the most haunted places in Florida, The Riddle House was built in 1905 adjacent to Woodlawn Cemetery. It is heard that the house is haunted by the spirit of Joseph, one of the employees, who committed suicide by hanging in the attic to escape his financial troubles.
While moving and reconstructing the house the workers and the carpenters experienced paranormal activities. Their tools would be moved, the windows would break and someone would hit on their heads with hammer. Terrified by these, the workers had stopped the construction for six months.
Burma Railway
The Death Railway or the Burma Railway was a 415km railway built by the Empire of Japan in 1943 to support its forces in the Burma campaign of World War II.
The construction of the Burma Railway is counted as a war crime committed by Japan in Asia. Many labourers and allied war prisoners died during the construction of the railway.

This is an abandoned factory filled with the remains of creepy dolls. This was a porcelain doll factory that was abandoned decades ago.

Dracula's Castle
Bran Castle, commonly known as Dracula's Castle, is situated in Transylvania, Romania. The castle is connected to the more terrifying character- the real life Dracula or Vlad the ruler.
In the 1400s, Vlad was a ruler of modern day Transylvania and a man with a tremendous appetite for cruelty. His blood thirst acted as inspiration for Bram Stoker's vampire named Dracula.
Hell town, Ohio
The area was formally known as 'Boston' but later the local legend associates the area with Satan and hauntings and thereby the area got the name Hell town. An entire town, cursed and frighteningly dangerous after dark.
Rumours began to surface that the government was trying to conceal a chemical spill. People especially the tourists mistook the empty buildings for a long standing ghost town. The roads have sign that say “road closed”.
Hashima Island, Japan
Hashima Island is an abandoned island lying about 15km from the city of Nagasaki. The island's most notable features are its abandoned concrete buildings, undisturbed except by nature and the surrounding sea wall.
The guided tour takes visitors along a set route on elevated walkways, which pass near a number of the best sites. This may sound disappointing to the more independent explorer, but the restrictions are intended to protect both the tourists (from collapsing buildings) and the ruins themselves.
Leap Castle, Ireland
The Leap Castle was built by the O'Bannon group. The Bloody Chapel is the home to many of the spirits of Leap Castle. People passing the Castle at night have reported bright light streaming out of the upper windows.
Since 1991, the castle has been privately owned by musician Seán Ryan, who is continuing the restoration work. This castle was featured on the cover of several editions of the novel The Riders by the Australian author Tim Winton.
